America's government
Submitted by Juliana on Thu, 2008-08-07 10:52.My dad and I know that America used to have a good government, and it helped us do the right thing. But we both see now that it has gone downhill. The government has too much power, and they're using it in the wrong ways. For example, they say that kids can get the best education in school, but they're having a hard time finding teachers that are smart enough! » read more »
Dumb parents
Submitted by Juliana on Sun, 2008-08-03 12:08. ParentingI have watched a show for several weeks now called the Baby Borrowers. It's where five teenage "couples" borrow babies, toddlers, pre-teens, teens, and elderly people. All the girls thought they would be wonderful parents and wanted to have kids as soon as possible. Well, at the end of the experiment, they all broke up and weren't going to have kids for a long time. So think about that before you have kids too young from now on. It's a good thing to learn!
Kit Kittredge-An American Girl
Submitted by Juliana on Fri, 2008-07-18 19:45.There is a new movie that's out. It is an American Girl movie. I have heard many good things about it, and I intend to see it this weekend. I really think I will love it and the storyline of it. I will write what I think about it after I see it. I will recommend it now to any girls who love adventure, American Girl, or Kit the American Girl doll. There will be a description of what it was like this weekend or after here on the blog. (I forget what year she's from, but she has a typewriter and a candlestick phone.) Anyway, it sounds really cool!
FOOTPRINTS....A New Version
Submitted by Juliana on Wed, 2008-07-16 10:34.Imagine you and the Lord Jesus are walking down the road together. For much of the way, the Lord's footprints go along steadily, consistently, rarely varying the pace.
But your footprints are a disorganized stream of zigzags, starts, stops, turnarounds, circles, departures and returns.
For much of the way, it seems to go like this, but gradually your footprints come more in line with the Lord's, soon paralleling, His consistently.
You and Jesus are walking as true friends! » read more »
The State Our Earth is in
Submitted by Juliana on Mon, 2008-07-14 13:15. EnvironmentOur earth is not in the best state it could be in. People are always throwing their trash just anywhere. The garbage men don't pick up the little pieces of trash they drop. At the parks, almost no one cleans up after their dog. I'm not green or any of that weird stuff, but this is just wrong. It's like people don't care anymore. Believe it or not, I really don't think they do. There are trash cans everywhere! There's even bags to clean up after your dog at the park if you don't have any! » read more »
My Sister and her service to America
Submitted by Juliana on Wed, 2008-06-04 15:09. Home LifeMy sister is in the Air Force. She is currently in Iraq searching people who visit the prisoners with a metal detector. I haven't seen her in about two and a half years.
Her husband is in the Air Force, too. I forget what he does, but he made sure my sister got a safe job. They both help keep America safe. Sometimes, my sister sends me things. It's really cool to see it. » read more »
Homeschool vs. Public School
Submitted by Juliana on Fri, 2008-02-22 15:10. HomeschoolI've noticed a big difference between homeschool and public school. First of all, I'm homeschooled year-round. We can take breaks whenever we want to. Also, I don't go by my grade. I work at whatever level I am in that subject. I am also not kept in a classroom all day with no freedom. » read more »
A Natural Makeover
Submitted by Juliana on Wed, 2008-02-13 13:36.I'm sure all women love to pamper and take care of their body. Well ladies, here's a new way you can pamper yourself without having men calling at you.
I'm positive you all know about makeovers that make you look prettier. What I came up with is called a Natural Makeover. It doesn't make you look any prettier, but it makes you feel good about yourself. It's like putting lotion or baby powder on yourself. It makes you feel good, right? It's also like taking a hot bath when you're cold or your muscles are hurting. That relaxes you, right? That's what a Natural Makeover is. It's to cleanse your body and make you feel great! » read more »
Different Pets and Different People
Submitted by Juliana on Fri, 2008-02-08 14:33. Home LifeDifferent people like different kinds of pets. Some people really like cats. Ya, cats are cute. But they tear up your furniture, break valuable things, and their litter box smells! Some other people really like birds. I think they're pretty, but they're really loud! Some really different people like reptiles. They're really fun to learn about, but they're just too gross and slimy for me!
But just because different people like different pets, that doesn't mean you should pick your friends by what kind of pet they have! Stick to the person's personality!
Pawz Newsletter
Submitted by Juliana on Fri, 2008-02-08 14:21. Home LifeWhat is it about dogs that makes people just love them? Do they have a special look in their eyes? I have found that it is based on the personality of the dog. For example, my dog is very sweet. It's impossible to not love her! But pit bulls are mean. They have a personality that makes them almost impossible to be loved!
Different people also love different kinds of dogs. For example, I love sweet cuddly lap dogs. But that's the kind of person I am! Some other people might just love the way pit bulls are! So that's the kind of dog they'd want to own!
My point is that different people love and want different kinds of dogs! » read more »
The Sweetest Dog
Submitted by Juliana on Wed, 2008-02-06 16:31. Home LifeThe sweetest dog I have ever met is my own. Polly is a very sweet, cuddly lap dog. She isn't even a year old, and she's been through one big adventure.
When we had Polly spayed, she had an allergic reaction to the stuff they used to clean her belly. They gave her Benadryl immediately. When we got her back the next day, she had a nick as if the razer had slipped. Then we figured it was from when the allergic reaction had happened. But a day or two later, the nick had busted and fresh blood had spilled out of it. So we took her to the Emergency Animal Clinic (it was a Sunday, so the vet was closed). They couldn't figure out what happened, but Polly had to get a cone. We wrote get well notes on it! Polly wasn't eating or drinking anything. I got her to eat out of my hand and drink from a snack bowl a little bit. Then, it became a scab. After a month or so, the scab finally became skin. She now is fine, but has a bald spot on her tummy and on her right side (from the infection). I think there might be some hair growing back, though. » read more »
My Testimony
Submitted by Juliana on Tue, 2008-01-08 09:54.I have been a believer as long as I can remember. When I was only three years old I found that God had given me the gift of dance. I have been dancing for the Lord for seven years. I love praising him through dance.
When I was a little baby I had a kidney infection. We were at church one day after the surgery and three men came and prayed for me. I never had a kidney infection again.
When my dad broke his leg, God healed it. He also gave me the power to help my dad before my mom got home. » read more »
Polly's doing great!
Submitted by Juliana on Fri, 2007-07-20 15:43. Home LifeHi, everyone! I'm doing great with Polly. She's eating well and sleeping eight and a half hours now. She's been eating better with the new food. I think she likes it better. Next week we're going to introduce the collar to her. I took her to the vet last Monday, and she did really well. We gave her her first pill today, and my mom finally got it down her throat. Well, I'm very happy with her!

It's a Girl!
Submitted by Juliana on Sat, 2007-06-16 08:22. Home LifeYesterday, I went and chose my puppy. I got the pick of the litter. Her name is Polly Franklin. When I said her name, she did her first bark. It was so cute! She only had one eye open.
When I saw all the puppies, I loved them all. There is one boy and there are two girls. One of the girls was whiny. I picked the other one. The boy was cute too, but I really wanted a girl.
I get to bring Polly home in three and a half weeks. I already have the first accessories I need. I got some toys, too. Well, I'll always love her no matter what.
My New Puppy
Submitted by Juliana on Thu, 2007-06-14 09:16. Home LifeI have always wanted a puppy. After we had to get rid of our first dog, I was lonely as ever. I begged my Dad to let me have a puppy, but he said it was too much trouble. I knew I wanted a companion to play and be with when my parents couldn't do it.
So I started researching all by myself how to take care of a dog. I learned all about it. I wrote down notes to hang around the house. My Dad saw it, but he still said no.
But one day, I went to my Grams' house. She was dog sitting when we went up there. So my Dad got to see me with a puppy. I also helped take care of the puppy. When we left, I didn't want to leave the pup. So my Dad started thinking about it. » read more »
Taking Care of a Puppy
Submitted by Juliana on Sat, 2007-01-27 17:03.Before you get a puppy, there are a few things you should know. When you bring the puppy home, you should first show it where to go potty. If it goes there, you should be very happy, pet the puppy, and say, "Good dog!" Then, you have to show it the crate. The puppy will think of it as his home. It will be like his den. There's one thing you shouldn't do, though. Don't bring the puppy home right before vacation. When you leave for vacation, the puppy might get confused about which home is his. So if you at least stay home for a week, then the puppy will probably get used to it. Anyway, if you might be getting a puppy, these things might help.
Bad Habits
Submitted by Juliana on Mon, 2006-11-06 10:14. HolinessA disorderly life includes many bad habits. Maybe a child isn’t brushing her teeth like she’s supposed to. A little boy might be chewing his fingernails. Even grown-ups might spend too much money and be low in the budget. Be careful! Any of these habits at any time could start a disorderly life.

Zacchaeus Was a Wee Little Man
Submitted by Juliana on Wed, 2006-10-18 16:56. BibleZacchaeus was a wee little man, and a wee little man was he.
He climbed up in a sycamore tree, for the Lord he wanted to see.
And as the Savior passed him by, He looked up in the tree,
And He said, "Zacchaeus, you come down from there;
For I'm going to your house today, for I'm going to your house today.
Zacchaeus came down from that tree, as happy as he could be,
He gave his money to the poor, and said: "What a better man I'll be."
Fall

When acorns drop,
And leaves are scattered.
Mommies
Submitted by Juliana on Tue, 2006-07-25 20:08. Homeschool | ParentingMommies are sweet,
Mommies are kind.
They are also quite
Gentle you will find.
You love them so much,
As they do you too.
So as you will ne'er
Leave them, nor they will
E'er leave you.

New Schoolroom
Submitted by Juliana on Thu, 2006-05-25 11:17. HomeschoolI am getting a new schoolroom. It used to be my playroom, so we're combining it with my bedroom. I'm getting a new bed called a daybed. It's not really new, though, because it used to be my sister's. The bed will go on one wall, and then I will have a dressing area and a playing area.
Homeschool is the best school
Submitted by Juliana on Wed, 2006-01-25 16:58. HomeschoolI'm 7 years old
, if you count from conception) and homeschooled, and I read at a 9th grade level. God has given me the ability to read, write, and even spell as well as I can, and I'm going to use that talent in my life. I believe homsechooling is the best way to get a good education, and I am an example of how well it works!
Things about dance
Submitted by Juliana on Wed, 2005-12-21 13:25. BalletI love to dance. It's really fun, and one year, I got to skip a level. Now that I'm bigger, and I've moved up in the levels, I have a new teacher. This new teacher is Miss Amy. At first, I thought she might be a little hard, but now I've learned that she's not. She's really nice and helps me learn new things. This is my fifth year dancing, and every year I get better at it.
Jesus has given me this talent, and every year I dance, I do it for Him. Every time I dance, I know He's watching and that He loves me. I encourage you to try dancing for the Lord, too.
Furryville Stuff
Submitted by Juliana on Sat, 2005-10-15 10:58.I like Furryville. It is really cute. Furryville is a series of sets of miniature characters and accessories. The small dolls are soft.
I have two sets of Furryville. One of them is the Duckinghams In The Rain, and the other one is the Bearyweathers At Bedtime.
Playing with Furryville is fun. I think other kids would like it.
